Picture of the Week

Unlike most weeks I have a lot of pictures to choose from for this weeks POTW. I took almost 300 pictures in the last seven days. No wonder I'm a bit...indecisive. I almost picked a picture of Eric attempting to give a statue of a little girl a kiss. As I prepared for this post mentally, that's the picture I had in mind. However, when I got up to the line of scrimmage I felt the need to audible. Mikey Week just wrapped up so I decided a picture of something besides one of my boys (as awesome as they are) would be a good way to go.
Also, I figured a seasonal picture might be more appropriate. I love the different color of the leaves. It gives you one more chance to enjoy all the pretty trees before all the leaves fall off and everything turns brown in Southern Idaho.
On with the picture. I took the picture at Julia Davis Park here in Boise. You see many of the fall colors with part of Downtown Boise in the background.



Pictures like this are so easy to take because the beauty and colors do all the work.

Boise Panoramic

A couple months ago I went to this place called Crescent Rim in Boise to take some pictures. I stitched these five pictures together to make a panoramic from west downtown Boise to Bronco Stadium. Crescent Rim is a popular place to take downtown pictures. In recent years as downtown Boise has grown, Cresecent Rim isn't the best place for pictures since newer buildings hide some of the older downtown buildings, especially the state capitol. Either way, I like the view, plus you have Ann Morrison park beneath you while you take pics.

Downtown Boise

Boise is a great town. When I was in downtown today I brought my camera with me and took a few pictures. I had no specific reason for doing this, other than I really enjoy taking pictures.



This is the new Aspen Condo building in the BoDo district. It's still under construction but almost finished. Us locals refer to this building as the new "skinny" building.



Here's some art, right in front of Hotel 43. I wish I would have taken a couple minutes to look at it a little closer so I could write something intelligent about what it means or specifically what it is. I didn't do that. It does look cool though.



This unique building is Wells Fargo. One time I had to haul about 50 computers from the top floor out to my box truck. That took a while.



This is the intersection of Front Street and Capitol Boulevard. I like these urban looking pictures.



On my way home I stopped in Meridian and I spotted some guy's new Dodge Challenger. I like the loud orange color.
